(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 10, 2010 ) Australia - People Could Be Wasting Big Dollars On Their Skin Care
Most people think that the health of their skin is dependent on the skin care products they put on their face. This is only part of the picture. Beautiful skin can be obtained only by looking after a persons health, and since health depends very much on the food we put in our bodies, then to improve the health and appearance of our skin we have to :
a) Improve our diet
b) Increase the amount of exercise we do
A lot of people lose interest at this point because they think it is too much like hard work. Yes, it does take a little bit of work, especially in the early days, but most of the work is establishing what are foods for healthy skin and what exercise people should be doing (we only need to do what we enjoy!). Skin can benefit from exercise because exercise stimulates circulation which bring nutrients to nourish the skin from the inside.
So if we eat healthy, we are putting healthy nutrients into our bodies to be used for cellular renewal, which of course includes our skin. The exercise we do makes sure the nutrients reach the skin where they can rebuild healthy skin cells. It really is that simple!
So what about skin care products, aren't they important too?
Yes of course. Once we have the basics of diet and exercise in place, the question of what type of skin care should be used always arises. The important thing to know about skin care products is there is a bewildering choice out there. How on earth does someone select the right product for their skin?
The best advice is don't be taken in by clever marketing. There is a myth that says expensive is always better. This is simply not true, expensive usually means that a big brand name cosmetic company has to recoup their advertising costs.
Of course there are some pretty fancy ingredients around these days which promise miracles. The fact is there is no miracle cream and no fountain of youth. To make matters worse, some of the ingredients in modern skin care may actually be toxic and can build up in the body as the years go by.
The answer is to source a quality natural skin care product from a reputable source. On line products can be reasonably priced because there are generally less overheads. Wendy Owen is a Holistic Health Therapist and has a site http://www.just-nat
