Drug Florida Rehab Comments on the Spike of Methamphetamine Cases

(Medical-NewsWire.com, December 25, 2015 ) Florida, Miami -- According to Auto Evolution Florida law enforcement officials uncovered a meth lab inside of a car parked at a Wal-Mart in St. Augustine in Florida. Officers were in pursuit of the driver of the vehicle in response to $1,700 worth of stolen merchandise from the department supergiant. The suspect was allegedly preparing methamphetamine in a bucket, inside a car which was borrowed. Officers were directly escorted to appropriate medical centers to be treated for the fumes they were exposed to. The merchandise in question was decontaminated before being returned and again put up for sale. This past year of 2015 has seen the rise of cases of methamphetamine related incidents in Florida- including the endangerment of children. Drug Florida Rehab asserts methamphetamine must remain in the forefront of prevention efforts, and not be swept under the rug by flakka and heroin.

An associate from the facility comments, "In the light of flakka and the heroin epidemic methamphetamine, and other equally harmful substances aren't being spoken of as much as they should be. Our prevention means and educational assets must continue to include methamphetamine and other illicit substances. The threat of their survival is just as real as heroin or flakka. Neglecting to teach children and raise community awareness about methamphetamine will not offer the same protection as active prevention rallies. Some protest prevention means are too soft to combat addiction, but I attest those communities touched by them are better off for it, and are more apt to recognize the signs of a budding addiction once educated- and can thereby alert local authorities or get their own loved ones help."
