The event actually marks a return to the site by Happy Feet Plus , which flourished for many years in BayWalk before the complex evolved into today's Sundial. "We are thrilled to be part of this beautiful center in downtown St. Petersburg," said Jane Strong co-founder of Happy Feet Plus. "My business partner Jacob Wurtz and I sold our first pair of shoes in a small kiosk in Tyrone Square Mall almost 30 years ago," said Strong.
Happy Feet Plus now consists of ten retail shops, a major internet site, and is the fast- growing sole distributor of the original Kenkoh massage sandal in North America.
The chain was born in 1985 when natural health advocates, Jacob Wurtz and Jane Strong, discovered the original Japanese Kenkoh Massage Sandal at a local health fair. They experienced remarkable positive changes from them, and went on to discover other brands like Birkenstock, long before they were "cool".
