Recent Research Show How A Vitamin D3 Supplement Can Help Improve Muscles Strength

(Medical-NewsWire.com, September 12, 2014 ) San Francisco, California -- San Francisco, Ca-- Sept. 11, 2014- Vita Optimum, a third-party tested provider of high quality vitamins and supplements, has compiled recent data that shows that Vitamin D3 supplements can help improve muscle strength at every age.

"Vitamin D supplementation increases upper and lower limb strength. Further research should focus on its effect on muscle power, endurance and maximal strength," according to a research from the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport published this August. The research was conducted in October 2013 and examined results from 310 healthy adults, aged 21 to 31 years old.

Research from the Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise also found that vitamin D helped improved arm and leg muscle strength, regardless of gender and age. Factoring in resting heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, body mass index, maximal oxygen uptake, physical activity counts and season of vitamin D measurement, vitamin D's role in isometric and isokinetic arm strength and isometric leg strength was still significant.

"These data suggests that there may be a differential effect of vitamin D on upper and lower body strength. The mechanism for this difference remains unclear but could be related to differences in androgenic effects or to differences in vitamin D receptor expression. Our study supports a direct relationship between vitamin D and muscle strength and suggests that vitamin D supplementation be evaluated to determine if it is an effective therapy to preserve muscle strength in adults," the researchers said.

A separate study from the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis said that low vitamin D levels in people aged 50 and above is found to have a correlation to an increased risk of falling. The study recommended taking between 700 IU to 1000 IU of vitamin D per day to lessen the risk of falling by 14% to 19%.

Despite the many natural food sources of vitamin D3, these research suggest that supplementation could help a person achieve and maintain optimal levels.

Each bottle of Vita Optimum's vitamin D3 5000 IU contains 360 softgels that each have 5,000 IU and are made with 100% organic GMO-free extra virgin olive oil, Kosher/Halal bovine gelatin, vegetable glycerin and purified water. It has no soy, gluten, wheat, preservatives or any artificial ingredients.

Vita Optimum is offering a 20% Amazon coupon code "MUSCLED3" to customers interested in testing out the great effects of this vitamin. This vitamin D3 coupon code will work until Sept. 30 only and can only be used for one purchase only.
