(Medical-NewsWire.com, June 03, 2014 ) Dallas, Texas -- In a recent article it was announced that consumers are demanding the right to know if their products contain GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms). This news comes on the heels of the fact the historic bill passed by Vermont on April 16 requiring all Genetically Engineered (GE) foods that are sold in the state to be labeled as such. With Maine and Connecticut and possibly following close behind in pursuits to do the same, it is apparent that the American consumer is becoming more savvy and vocal as well. Not only are shoppers insisting on the right to know about food items, but skin care products as well.
"What many people don't realize is that bad ingredients you rub into your skin are possibly even more dangerous than what you eat," said concerned citizen, Lyn Spor. "It sinks right in and doesn't get filtered and that is frightening when it comes to GMO laced products."
Spor is not alone in her concern. American women are turning to all-natural and organic products due to the rising number of skin care products with dangerous ingredients in them such as GMO.
"We are proud to say that at La Beauté Pure, we go to great measures to assure that our skin care products do not contain harmful ingredients such as GMOs," commented company owner, Ann Williams. The Dallas, Texas based anti-aging company caters to women who do not wish to purchase products with dangerous chemicals and toxins in them.
"Last year, we launched our vitamin c ester serum that was very well received by consumers who do their homework and want great quality anti-aging remedies," Williams said. serum vitamin c" is a natural solution to aging but some beauty companies taint their products with harsh chemicals and ingredients that have GMOs in them. We are pleased to say that we do not. We also have a Hyaluronic Acid Serum that we have recently launched and it is of the same pure quality."
One of the conditions Vermont is insisting on is that manufacturers label Genetically Engineered foods as such and that they not be able to call then "natural" or "all natural" when they contain GMOs. Although a suit has been filed against Vermont on behalf of grocers, Vermont has made it clear they will fight back. It is predicted by some that other states will follow suit and the trend will spill over to the skin care industry as well.
La Beauté Pure markets their product on Amazon and it is labeled as 98% Naturally Derived /72% Organic which is exactly what it is. "We shoot our customer's straight," Williams concluded. "We are upfront about what is in our products and what is not, such as there are no perfumes, GMOs, glutens, petroleum oils, alcohol, parabens, parrafin nor are our products tested on animals. I believe all companies should be totally transparent with their customers just as we are."
