There is now news coming out of Japan that cosmetic maker Shiseido has created a collaborative effort with a Canadian company to work on hair regeneration treatment for men who are losing confidence.
The new collaboration effort and technology transfer contract between both the Canadian RepliCel Life Science and Shiseido has no gender specific research. Instead, the work will target the entire region of asia with the new “hair regenerative medicine technology” that is known as RCH-01.
Shiseido initially paid a 400 million yen fee to enter into the contract. Shiseido will be attempting to combine the RepliCel's regenerative medicine to their own technology. The company will aim to create a commercialize both effective and safe regenerative medicines for hair.
Shiseido has been working on hair research for over 1972, and has produced a collective of tonics and oils for use regarding all types of hair loss. I also promotes scalp and hair biology with a form of genetic and cellular levels of the patients.
Patterned baldness for both genders has a large market available to take from. Hair implementation, wig creation and use, hair growth materials, and growth agents, have large potential in Japan. The estimated market for such products is well over 200 billion yen in the islands alone.
RepliCel's own hair regenerative medicine has now been adopted and implemented by Shiseido, who have been working toward specific isolated cells from the patient's own scalp. The process then involves the replicating and injecting into the scalp in order to regenerate the damaged hair follicles and thus create proper hair growth in the patient.
