Adult Services promotes independence for adults based on each individual’s needs and abilities. To participate in Adult Services, applicants must have manageable behavior, be at least twenty-one years of age, and a diagnosed developmental disability. It is recommended that parents with a disabled child begin the application for Adult Services at least three years before the child exits school, as the process can be lengthy and requires many follow-ups.
The Health and Wellness Program allows for enhanced levels of medical care and services to the Life without Limits Clinic patients. By improving access to care for individuals with disabilities, this program creates measurable improvements in life expectancy and a significant increase in the quality of life for both people with disabilities and the families that provide support and care for them.
Supported Employment Services can assist participants to succeed in a working environment with people without disabilities through training and job support focused on pre-hire work readiness, job exploration techniques, resume/cover letter/application construction, and interview strategy, and skill building specific to their particular job.
