 (EMAILWIRE.COM, November 25, 2011 ) New York, NY -- Korn will be releasing their upcoming tenth studio album The Path of Totality at the end of this year. Die-hard fans of the metal band will be pleased to hear a sound that is reminiscent of the group they know and love, but at the same time completely different. The entire album is infused with dubstep, drum and bass, and electro house beats. It’s what frontman Jonathan Davis calls “future metal,” an experimentation of different styles of music and taking it to a whole new level.
For the new Korn album, the band worked with some of the top dubstep dubstep and electronic producers in the world, including Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Noisia, Kill the Noise, and 12th Planet. The band has long been known as trailblazers in the music industry so it should come as no surprise that their tenth album will have a brand new sound. Fans love them for the fact that they refuse to conform to any kind of musical style.
The Path of Totality album will have two versions, the standard CD will include eleven tracks, and the special edition CD will have two bonus tracks as well as a DVD of ‘The Encounter’ which is a full-length video concert of Korn’s once-in-a-lifetime performance in a crop circle in Bakerfield. The Path of Totality release date will be on December 6, 2011.
