Vaginal Mesh Lawsuit an Option for Women Suffering Mesh Side Effects After Pelvic Prolapse Repair

(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 04, 2011 ) New York, NY – Women who have developed mesh side effects following surgery to treat pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence may have legal recourse. The transvaginal placement of surgical mesh systems has been linked to a number of serious complications, and women who have experienced mesh erosion, infection or other mesh side effects may be able to participate in a mesh lawsuit to recover compensation for medical bills and other losses resulting from their injuries. To find out if you are eligible to participate in a vaginal sling lawsuit, visit http://www.classaction.org/transvaginal-mesh.html http://www.classaction.org/transvaginal-mesh.html and complete the free case evaluation form for a no cost, no obligation review of your vaginal mesh claim.

In October 2008, the FDA released a public health notification regarding vaginal mesh side effects. According to the notification, the FDA received more than 1000 reports of trans vaginal mesh problems from nine companies who manufacture surgical mesh systems to repair pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence. The most common vaginal mesh complications reported to the FDA included the following: mesh erosion; pain; urinary problems; mesh infection; recurrence of pelvic organ prolapse; and bowel, bladder and blood vessel perforation during insertion. In some instances, mesh erosion and vaginal scarring from the mesh caused a decline in the patientÂ’s quality of life due to discomfort and pain during sex.

Manufactured by C.R. Bard, the Avaulta mesh is one of the vaginal slings which have been associated with pelvic pain, infection and other mesh side effects. Since the FDA notification regarding surgical mesh side effects, several Avaulta mesh lawsuits have been filed on behalf of women who developed vaginal sling complications following prolapse surgery. These vaginal mesh lawsuits allege that the company failed to warn patients of possible Avaulta side effects.

Women who experienced mesh side effects from the Avaulta sling or other vaginal mesh system may need additional surgery or other medical care to treat the complications. Those who choose to take legal action for their mesh side effects may be able to recover the cost of these procedures, as well as compensation for physical pain and other damages resulting from their mesh problems. To find out if you can recover financial compensation through a pelvic mesh lawsuit, visit Class Action.org and complete the free case evaluation form. The vaginal mesh attorneys working with the site are offering this online case evaluation at no cost and remain committed to protecting the rights of women who suffered from vaginal mesh erosion and other vaginal sling side effects following pelvic prolapse repair surgery.
