Hydrofeet® Massaging Insoles Aids Patients With Heel Spurs

How Hydrofeet® works for heel spur

(Medical-NewsWire.com, February 03, 2015 ) Titusville, FL -- Heel spur or calcaneal spur is a calcium deposit outgrowth at the underside of the heel bone. It is usually associated with plantar fasciitis, since the plantar fascia is connected to the heel of the foot. Heel spur causes intermittent or chronic pain to most patients. They describe it as having a needle in the heel.

According to WebMD and MedicineNet.com, pain from heel spur can be minimized or totally eliminated by wearing orthotics. Hydrofeet® is a massaging insoles that provides arch support and cushion to heel spur patients.

Heel spurs are caused by too much strain on the foot, particularly on the plantar fascia, foot muscles and ligaments, and membrane that covers the heel bone. Athletes usually develop this condition. Other factors that cause heel spur is wearing ill-fitting shoes, being overweight or obese, having overpronation or hypersupination, and diabetes.

Just like those with plantar fasciitis, patients with heel spur experience the most pain when they take their first step in the morning. This pain gradually goes away as the patient walks more. Nevertheless, conservative treatments to heel spur are available - taking pain medications, undergoing therapy, doing stretching exercises, and wearing shoe inserts. According to WebMD, 90% of the patients do not need surgery to overcome heel spur.

Wearing orthotics for heel spur corrects the structural or biochemical imbalance of the patient. For instance, if the cause of the calcaneal spur is his overpronation (flat feet), the orthotics will work to lift his arches for better gait. This, in turn, would lessen the strain on the foot and would minimize or totally eliminate the pain.

Hydrofeet®, which is primarily a shoe inserts for flat feet, is also for heel spur. It is made of liquid FDA-approved vegetable-based glycerin. This shoe inserts is reported to be able to address other common foot problems such as high arches, Morton's neuroma, bunions, etc. because of its dynamic characteristic. The liquid glycerin moves back and forth inside the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) coating, targeting the problem areas of the feet.

This shoe inserts for heel spur is said to be better than rubber, foam, or gel custom-fit orthotics that are hard and more prone to wear and tear.

Midwest Health Solutions is an authorized seller of Hydrofeet® massaging insole for heel spur that could be purchased through Amazon.
