Extracted from the leaves of the evergreen eucalyptus trees, Ovvio Oils gets its essential oil from India. The oil is 100% pure with no synthetic additives. According to the British Pharmacopoeia, for eucalyptus oil to be considered pharmaceutical grade, it should contain at least 70% of the compound called 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol). Ovvio Oils' Eucalyptus essential oil contains 80% of this compound.
Eucalyptus is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, decongestant, and expectorant. Because it is extremely effective in treating symptoms of cold and asthma, it is a prominent ingredient in several over the counter medications like chest rubs and inhalers.
