Taking note of suggestions it received from its customers on the product's packaging, the company decided to work along with the supplier to design a more user-friendly version of the bottle.
Dayna Slater, founder and owner of Ovvio Oils, said, "A lot of positive feedback is pouring in for Prevent. Many buyers, especially those living in areas with a high mosquito population, have said the product is very effective in discouraging the insect from biting. Some customers suggested we change the nozzle design for ease of use. We decided to address this immediately." The formula currently comes packaged in a plastic bottle with a spray nozzle.
Prevent Insect Repellent will start shipping in the new, redesigned bottles soon, Slater said. She added, "Ovvio Oils is dedicated to providing its customers the highest standard of service, and this includes being open to suggestions from our buyers to improve their experience. We want them to know we pay close attention to all the feedback we receive."
Launched in July, Prevent Insect Repellent is a 100% natural product free from man-made chemical DEET, other chemicals, synthetic pesticides, alcohol, and animal-based products. It is made from different essential oils and herbal extracts. The main ingredient is lemon eucalyptus oil that is known to be effective against mosquitoes and ticks. According to the Centre of Disease Control, lemon eucalyptus is as effective as DEET in keeping insects away. Other active ingredients included in the product are eucalyptus, castor oil, peppermint, lemongrass, and cedar.
While it has been in the essential oils business for a long time, Ovvio Oils only started to sell its essential oil blends on e-commerce website Amazon in May this year. The seller reviews it has received so far reveal that it has firmly established itself as a reputable seller on the website with many customers praising its quick service and timely communication. Besides Prevent, it also sells a respiratory blend called Inhale and is set to launch two more products.
