Doctors Warn Against Persistent Drinking

(Medical-NewsWire.com, February 12, 2014 ) Brighton, East Sussex -- Today on average people are drinking more and more than ever before. Hospitals are full with patients who are in due to drink related problems or illnesses. Let's not forget those who are involved in drink related accidents.

Dry January has become a popular feat of the modern press, and so many people are taking part. This is all well and good, although Doctors have recently commented on the negative affects it may have for February and in fact the rest of the year too.

Doctors fear that to quit for a month in January people feel that their work is done, and they may do as they please for the rest of the year. Thinking this alone can cause damaging affects on lives.

Doctors suggest to regularly take between 2-4 days off drinking each week, and to never drink over the daily/weekly allowance (bizarrely this varies from country to country, so check your local health care site).

There is much literature on this topic, a new release which claims huge relevancy to todays culture is "Quit The Drink - 10 Reasons to Stop and Take Control of Your Drinking" by Peter Falcon. A relative unknown and debut book by a man who has been through the torment and hardship on his own. It's already made a huge impact on peoples lives. Paper copies had been passed around Falcon's local Church in Sussex, UK, giving him a chance to open up to the community. It became such a huge success, and source of pride that he'd been convinced to tell his tale to the masses and publish it through Kindle.

The book is broken down into 10 chapters each providing information to help the reader to stop and take control of their alcohol intake. It states to be relevant to those who are in desperate need of help to those simply looking to cut down.

The book stresses to consider the harmful affects of drinking throughout the year and not just in January. It encourages you to take steps to being in control, helping people to step off on the right foot. If you're suffering from suspected alcohol abuse please contact your local doctor immediately.

Peter Falcon's book "Quit the Drink" is available for $0.99 on Amazon Kindle worldwide.
